HOW TO PRESERVE THE EFFECTS OF THE LOCKDOWN AFTER IT IS RELAXED

We are all quite informed as to what to do and what not to do during these 21 days, but no one has been talking about what is to be done on the 22nd day. What do you suggest we do to preserve the effects of this lockdown and control the spread of the virus after the restrictions on the public are eased? Do you think there will ever be an end to this situation?

To answer the question about whether it will never end, nobody knows because this is the novel coronavirus- that means a new coronavirus. Nobody knows how it will react. So, we don’t know when the virus will end.

But what should be done on the twenty second day is a basic thing, which is social distancing. So, wherever you are, even if the lockdown opens up, you still have to maintain social distancing of six feet. And, hand hygiene is very important. You have to wash your hands very frequently, probably every hour or whenever you touch a surface that you think is a high touch surface. High touch surfaces are surfaces that a lot of people touch. So when you touch a surface, you should always wash your hands with soap and water. Plain water will not help because the virus requires soap to be killed. The virus has a lipid layer (a fat layer) that breaks only when it contacts soap for at least twenty seconds. If you use soap for five seconds, no use; ten seconds, no use. You must wash your hands for twenty seconds. These things are very important.
